This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information when you use the Services. By using the Services, you consent to this Privacy Policy. 3. How We Use Information

Provide and improve the Services, including analyzing audio and metadata to generate Audience Reports and deliver results to you.

Operate, maintain, and enhance models, algorithms, and analytics, including using aggregated, de-identified features and metrics to improve non-generative recommendation and analytics models; we do not use your recordings to train models for the purpose of creating AI-generated music or recordings.

Authenticate users, secure accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.

Communicate with you regarding the Services, updates, security notices, and required disclosures; send marketing communications with consent, including affiliate or promotional campaigns.

Process payments via Stripe and manage billing, taxes, and receipts.

Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and manage DMCA notices/counter-notices.

Conduct research and develop new features; measure and understand usage.

4. Sensitive and Biometric Information (Voice Data)

Audio may include voice data that could be considered biometric or sensitive in certain jurisdictions. We process voice exclusively to analyze recordings to produce Audience Reports. We do not use voice data to identify individuals or authenticate identity. We do not sell sensitive personal information.

5. Sources of Information

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, submit Artist Content, or communicate with us; automatically via your device, cookies, and Service interactions; from service providers (e.g., Stripe) and affiliates; and from publicly available sources related to training datasets for artists associated with training songs.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, perform analytics, measure campaign attribution, and support affiliate tracking. You can manage cookies through browser settings. Where required by law, we will present consent or opt-out options through a banner or preference center.

7. Disclosure of Information

Service Providers and Subprocessors: cloud hosting, storage, security, analytics, customer support, payment processing (Stripe). We require contractual safeguards and limit use to our instructions.

Affiliates and Marketing Partners: limited identifiers and attribution data to measure and credit campaigns; we do not share raw audio.

Legal and Safety: to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to enforce our Terms or protect rights, property, or safety; to respond to DMCA notices and counter-notices.

Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; we will continue to protect information consistent with this Policy or notify you of changes.

Aggregated/De-identified Data: insights and statistics that cannot reasonably identify you or your recording.

We do not sell personal information. We may “share” limited identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising and affiliate attribution as defined under certain U.S. privacy laws; applicable users may opt out as described below.

8. Marketing; Affiliate Tracking; Your Choices

We send marketing emails with your consent. Emails include an unsubscribe link; clicking it opens a confirmation webpage and adds you to our suppression list. We may use affiliate links and promo codes to attribute campaigns; you can opt out of targeted advertising and certain tracking as described in Section 12.

9. Data Retention

We retain Artist Content (including audio files and Audience Reports) indefinitely unless you request deletion or your account is terminated, subject to legal holds and backups. We may retain extracted features/embeddings and aggregated, de-identified metrics for an indefinite period to improve non-generative analytics and recommendation models. Backup copies may persist for a limited period and are purged on a rolling basis per our retention schedules. We may retain records as required by law (e.g., DMCA logs) and for security, auditing, and legal defense.

10. Security

We design and operate controls intended to protect information, including client-side encryption, TEEs for processing, and HSM-backed key protection. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Additional details appear in our Security Overview. For security matters, contact security@rocketship.music.

11. Children and Minors

The Services are intended for users eighteen (18) and older and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact legal@rocketship.music and we will take appropriate action.

12. U.S. Privacy Rights (California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah)

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to: access/know, obtain a portable copy, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. Rocketship does not sell personal information, but may “share” limited identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising and affiliate attribution. You may exercise rights by emailing privacy@rocketship.music (or via in-product tools where available). We will verify your request and may deny or limit requests as permitted by law. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization and verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. For states with appeal rights (e.g., CO/VA/CT), you may appeal a decision by emailing privacy@rocketship.music with “Appeal” in the subject line. We honor applicable browser or platform opt-out signals (e.g., Global Privacy Control) where required by law.

13. International Transfers

Data is processed primarily in the United States. If we expand to serve EU/EEA, UK, Canada, or other jurisdictions, we will implement appropriate transfer mechanisms (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses and UK International Data Transfer Addendum), supplementary measures, and accountability under applicable laws. We will update this Policy with regional disclosures as needed.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may link to third-party platforms (e.g., Spotify, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party practices.

15. How to Exercise Your Rights; Requests and Deletion

You may submit requests to access, correct, delete, or opt out of targeted advertising/sharing by emailing privacy@rocketship.music or via in-product tools where available. We will verify your identity, respond within applicable statutory timeframes, and honor verified deletion requests subject to legal holds, backup retention, and our need to maintain records (e.g., security logs, DMCA compliance). Deletions will be processed without undue delay and typically within thirty (30) days after verification.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date indicates the effective date. Material changes will be communicated via in-product notices or email.
